We're looking for a developer who gets excited about shipping real product, integrating AI into everything, and taking ownership end-to-end. If you love moving fast, thinking in systems, and putting the product's impact ahead of technical elegance for its own sake — this role is for you.
The Opportunity
As a Full-Stack AI Developer, you will own features from conception to production. Your goal is to ship quality, integrate AI intelligently, and help grow a product that real businesses depend on every day. You'll work across the full stack — React/Next.js on the front end, Node.js on the back end, Postgres in the data layer — and be expected to bring new ideas, challenge assumptions, and push the product forward proactively.
Ship Product End-to-End
- Own full-stack features end-to-end — React/Next.js frontend, Node.js APIs, and async Trigger.dev workflows
- Create clean, performant code to ensure reliability and speed at scale
- Style with Tailwind to produce polished, responsive UIs quickly and consistently
Integrate AI Into Everything
- Approach every feature with an AI-first mindset — use LLMs, embeddings, and agents as natural building blocks
- Identify where AI can automate, enhance, or unlock new capabilities in the product and platform
- Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and bring those ideas to the team
Drive Quality & Reliability
- Build confidence with strong unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing in Playwright
- Implement and manage async task queues and event-driven workflows for scalable background processing
- Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural risks early and take action
About You
Battle-Tested & Senior
You have 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping web applications. You know React and Next.js well but you're not dependent on them — you understand the underlying principles and can adapt to whatever the product needs. You're fluent in English and communicate with clarity and confidence.
AI-First Developer
AI isn't a bolt-on for you — it's how you think about building software. You're already using LLMs, AI coding assistants, and emerging AI tools daily. You know when to reach for AI to multiply your output and when to keep it simple. You help define what "AI-first" means for a product team.
Product-Minded Self-Starter
You put the product before the programming. You think about the user experience and business impact before writing a single line of code. You don't wait to be told what to build — you identify gaps, propose solutions, and run with them. You thrive when given ownership and trust.
Strong with the Stack
You're comfortable with Postgres and understand indexing strategies that keep queries fast at scale. You style with Tailwind fluently. You're familiar with Node.js backend patterns and have shipped production-grade applications. You're EST time zone based and available to overlap with the core team.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Hands-on with async task queues or event-driven systems like Trigger.dev or Temporal
- Rust experience with Tokio and Axum — or even hobby projects
- Background working at an early-stage or fast-growing startup
